Tap. Tap. Tap. Ding!
There is a popular saying and sentiment that youth are more likely to be liberal until they enter “the real world.” That when it is realized that idealism does not fund itself and the greater sacrifice affects your net income that you will rethink your positions. Monetary influence is highlighted in this thought process. Those holding such a belief do not take note that people with the firmest beliefs in a better future are often more content with cashing in their dreams than their paycheck. Ideals are greater than currency.
I find that younger people tend to be under the belief the world can change for the better. Their naive views are so real to them because change is still such a simple concept before it is placed into a difficult reality. The world is still better after shooting hoops, catching Pokemon, or listening to your favorite track. And, really, isn’t it? I miss being innocent but I am hoping, through my ideology and opportunities, to regain my beliefs in positive change throughout the world; to return to the native naivete that is so prevalent in each generation blossoming into their initial worldview.
